On the other hand, NSE Nifty, the 50-share major index, closed down at 12,858.40, down 196.75 points. In early trade today, the Sensex touched a record high of 44,825.37 and the Nifty 13,145.85.

Sensex opened at 226.71 point today in early trade
In early trading today, the 30-share BSE Sensex (Sensex) opened at 44,749.73 with a strength of 226.71 points. At the same time, NSE's 50-share index Nifty (Nifty) opened at 13,130 with a strength of 74.85 points.
